Culinary technique - Marinating

Marinating is the process of immersing an ingredient in a seasoned liquid composed of oil, an acidic element and aromatics, allowing time for flavours to penetrate.
Technique:
Marinating in 3 Steps
- Prepare the marinade
Combine a base of oil and an acid (such as citrus juice, vinegar, or plant-based yogurt) with herbs, spices, and optional ingredients like garlic, onion, soy sauce or others. - Add the product
Place the vegetables or other plants in the marinade, making sure everything is well coated. Use a sealed bowl or bag for best results. - Let it rest
Refrigerate and allow the flavours to infuse: from just a few minutes (for delicate vegetables) up to several hours (for firmer vegetables).
