Miyama Sou

This centuries-old restaurant and hotel in the mountains, an hour's drive from Kyoto, in the middle of beautiful nature and close to the Bujouji temple has been run by the Nakahigashi family for four generations. Chef Hisato Nakahigashi lives in and with nature where he daily finds wild herbs, vegetables and flowers to pamper his guests. His dishes are constantly changing and depending on what the day brings. But they are all particularly refined and delicate. Absolutely worth the detour.
