Tilia is a real success story in Linden, Lubbeek. The team calls it a café, and yes, you can certainly drop in for a drink, but make no mistake: this is a fully fledged restaurant with a strong culinary identity. As a BBQ restaurant, Tilia naturally has a strong focus on grilled dishes, but there are also plenty of vegetable preparations coming from the BBQ. That immediately caught the attention of the We’re Smart® Green Guide. After several visits, we can confirm that the food is consistently delicious and that, for those who wish, it is possible to enjoy a fully pure plant experience. The dishes may come across as somewhat rustic, but they are always full of flavour. Chefs Jens Verreckt and Pieter Behets follow the seasons closely, which means the menu is constantly evolving according to what is available. Tilia remains, at heart, a meat-focused restaurant, but there is something here for everyone. A great example of how vegetables can also shine over the fire. Well done, guys, and congratulations!
