Koosh Kothari and Javier Francisco Rosado of Restaurant Nazka are the winners of the Green Chef’s Hat 2025. The team stood out during the thrilling final round.
On 23 September, five contestants competed for the prestigious title at Gastvrij Rotterdam. The competition is organised by the Stichting Kookwedstrijden Gastronomisch Gilde, in collaboration with the We’re Smart Green Guide, best known for its Radishes awards.
During the final, the participants were challenged to prepare a four-course menu and an amuse for a distinguished three-member jury: Frank Fol (Belgian Masterchef and founder of the We’re Smart Green Guide), together with two former winners, Jonas Haegeman (De Vijf Seizoenen, 5 Radishes) and Yornie van Dijk (Basiliek, 5 Radishes).
It proved to be a fierce competition, as nearly all participants already hold multiple Radishes, awarded by the We’re Smart Green Guide to the world’s best vegetable restaurants.
One impressive dish after another was presented, leaving the jury deeply impressed by the high level of creativity and craftsmanship.
Frank Fol, founder of the We’re Smart Green Guide and Belgian Masterchef, said:
“Creating a competition dish of this calibre is truly a challenge. Each team presented plates that could easily feature on the menu of a top Radishes restaurant.”
The demi-final for Belgium 2026 wil be held on 19th of November at HORECA EXPO GHENT.
Starting 1 October, registration opens for the preliminary rounds of the next Green Chef’s Hat 2026, which will take place during HORECAVA in January.
