Les Récoltants
In the heart of Bordeaux, Les Récoltants hides behind a narrow entrance that opens onto a spacious, farmhouse-inspired dining room. The restaurant is built around a sustainable philosophy: the four owners grow their own vegetables nearby, cook them with minimal waste, and return organic leftovers to the soil through composting. The menu changes with the seasons, offering an affordable lunch menu and a concise à la carte selection in the evening. Vegetarian dishes are always available, while a fully pure plant menu can be prepared on request. The wine list features only biodynamic producers, and all syrups are homemade. The cuisine reflects a genuine respect for terroir and seasonal produce. The dishes from the regular menu were flavourful and well executed, while the daily specials were less consistent. A more confident use of seasoning would further enhance the quality of the ingredients. Overall, Les Récoltants offers an honest, produce-led dining experience with sustainability at its core.
