After gaining experience in Italy and the famous Spanish restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, the Peruvian chef Jaime Pesaque came back to Lima to open his flagship restaurant Mayta in 2008, which has been prestigiously named one of the best restaurants in Latin America and the world. Currently, Pesaque runs 5 restaurants across Perú, Netherlands and USA.
His culinary proposal has an important role where native food from the different regions of Perú are combined with contemporary culinary techniques to create modern dishes. Today, Mayta also has a 100% pure plant menu that brings together the best of Peru and the chef. This is why Mayta gets her 5th radish in the We're smart Green Guide.
