Locàle offers a contemporary interpretation of what a restaurant can be: relaxed dining built around local organic produce, distinctive flavour combinations and dishes that are sometimes surprising, but always delicious. Chef Hendrik Dequeker and host Jürgen Aerts do not run a pure plant restaurant, although vegetables play an important role throughout the menu. The philosophy extends beyond the two of them, with the entire team contributing to the warm and welcoming experience. A dedicated pure plant menu is not yet available – and honestly, we believe it would fit perfectly here. That is one of the reasons we are happy to include Locàle in the We’re Smart® Green Guide: as an encouragement to take the next step.
