ThéRâPie – Ochaya is a Japanese tasting house in Luxembourg dedicated to plant-based gastronomy inspired by Shojin Ryori, the historic Buddhist temple cuisine of Japan. Rather than a conventional restaurant or tea salon, it offers an immersive experience centred on vegetables, seasonality, tea culture, and mindful dining.
The cuisine combines organic local vegetables with authentic Japanese plant ingredients such as tofu, sea vegetables, fermented seasonings, beans, and rare teas sourced directly from Japan. Seasonal Shojin Ryori menus, vegan Wagashi, tea pairings, house-made plant milks, amazake, and botanical infusions express a refined vegetable tradition.
ThéRâPie also presents a Japanese Shabu-Shabu experience in three expressions: vegan, premium Hamachi from Wakayama, and A5 Wagyu filet from Kagoshima. Sustainability practices include organic sourcing, minimal packaging, reusable materials, and on-site filtered water.
