Merry is a somewhat hidden gem in the heart of Liège. Set in a beautiful townhouse with impressive high ceilings and a charming terrace at the back, the restaurant offers a welcoming and characterful setting. Chef Yuri Vandam creates honest, flavour-driven cuisine with thoughtful combinations and a distinctive identity. Despite its urban location, wild foraging plays an important role, with herbs and plants regularly finding their way onto the plate. Vegetables and seasonal produce are treated with care, while a strong focus on using ingredients in their entirety helps reduce waste. The non-alcoholic pairing by Hélène Thiry complements the cuisine particularly well. Her drinks draw on plants, infusions, fermentation and seasonal ingredients, extending the restaurant's philosophy into the glass.
