De Slotplaats

With its gardens and large forest, the centuries-old estate De Slotplaats in Bakkeveen with its restored farm is a wonderful location for both lunch, a high tea or relaxed fine dining. Some of their ingredients are homegrown or foraged from their backyard, and you can taste the difference. Chef Jouke Drijfhout and his team show you what the Dutch cuisine has to offer, and do so in a skillful and refined manner. With their unique dishes made with fresh, sustainable ingredients from local farmers and suppliers, they cook with vegetables in the lead and give them the podium they deserve.
