Atelier
Atelier is the restaurant of the historic hotel Bayerischer Hof (1841) that is led by the talented young chef Jan Hartwig. The restaurant opened in 2014 and has been awarded a star almost year after year. In 2018 it welcomed the third star. Hartwig makes balanced preparations, very refined and intense in taste such as in a combination of sweetbread with cabbage, parsley, sauerkraut, peanut and crispy chicken skin or in a dish in which lamb saddle goes together with polenta, goat milk vacherin, salt-cooked beets, anchovy preserves and citrus and jus of pistou. A surprising dessert is Jerusalem artichoke with apple, fennel blossom and roasted sesame.
