Hert

The new restaurant of Alex Verhoeven (ex-Fleur de Sel, Kasterlee) can be found on the 18th floor of the Turnovatower. Alex used to serve a pure kitchen in which vegetables from his own vegetable garden played a leading role in Fleur de Sel. Sadly you can hardly notice the latter in Hert. All right, the preparations have been thought through. They are pure, full of surprising flavours and textures and with cleverly integrated vegetable elements. But the proportion of vegetables is rather limited. And that's a pity for a former vegetable chef.
