With their large vegetable garden near the Schelde dike, Kris De Roy and his passionate sous chef Sylvester Schatteman are almost completely self-sufficient with vegetables, herbs and fruit. These are given a special place in the dishes and especially in the vegetarian preparations mentioned on the menu as Gina's Choice. Gina is the wife of Kris and a happy vegetarian. In that menu are preparations such as breaded mushrooms with cream of celeriac and watercress and consommé of baked Cevennes onion but also a dessert of sweet vegetables with red cabbage, beetroot, goat cheese and praliné pistachio. The restaurant was voted Best Vegetables Restaurant of Flanders in 2017 for a reason.
